an automobile financier claims to be lending at simple interst,but he includes the interest every six months for calculating the principal. if he is changing an interest of 10%,the effective rate of interest becomes
a) 10% b)10.25% c)10.5% d) none of thease

So for 1st half rate of interest will be 5%
and for next half : 5% + 5% of 5% i.e (5 + 0.25)% = 5.25%
so effective rate of interest for the year = (5 + 5.25)% = 10.25%
So for 1st half rate of interest will be 5%
and for next half : 5% + 5% of 5% i.e (5 + 0.25)% = 5.25%
so effective rate of interest for the year = (5 + 5.25)% = 10.25%

Here only option (4) i.e 2^{96} + 1 is greater than (2^{32}+1) so this will be the answer.
Alternately;
Let 2^{32} = a and b =1
Use the formula : a^{2}  1 = (a + 1)(a  1)
for a = 2^{32} ; (2^{64}  1) = (2^{32}+1) (2^{32}1) so (2^{64}  1) will be divisible by (2^{32} + 1) but it is not in the option.
Use formula : (a^{3} + 1) = (a + 1)(a^{2}  a + 1)
So, (2^{96}+1) = (2^{32}+1)(2^{64}  2^{32}+1) so (2^{96}+1) will be divisible by (2^{32}+1)
