Qn. A can do a job in 12 days,B is 70% more efficient than A.How many days B will take to complete the job alone?
answer:
Given B is 70% more than A
Assume A is 100 because percentage
B is 70 + 100 = 170
Ratio of times taken by A and B = 170 : 100
Now assume B take days x
Given A do the job = 12 days
The ratio is 12 : X
170:100 :: 12:X
Comparing 17:10 :: 12 : x (apply basic formula ad = bc)
X=(12*10)/17=120/17 days
B takes 7 1/17 days to do the same piece of work.

8) apply formula p1t1E1=p2t2E2 when work is same
E1=170/100E2
1*12*E1=1*T2*17E2/10
AFTER CANCELLATION
T2=120/17 DAYS
